What makes DJs for Lovers different from other DJ services?

DJs for Lovers is managed by DJs who work at weddings, in clubs and on the radio. We can mix and blend songs, read crowds and build a dance party. We play a combination of vinyl and digital music. We seamlessly blend classic songs with modern music.

We will only play the hooky poky, electric slide or similar songs if you ask for them specifically. We will make your party fun and get your guests dancing without gimmicks. We provide quality music that you and your guests will enjoy, based your requests and our years of experience.



Will I be able to meet with the DJ before the event?

Absolutely, we believe meeting with our clients is the cornerstone of a successful event. With DJs For Lovers you will always meet with your actual DJ, not a rep from the company or an administrator. We want to know what you expect and help make sure we are the best fit for your wedding or event. If you live outside of Richmond we are happy to talk on the phone or use Skype to meet with you.



What style of music do you play?

We play everything Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Jazz, Funk, R&B, Country and Classical. We also specialize in obscure or hard to find music. Our DJs have extensive music collections and can meet almost any request. Check out our Music Page and Blog for some song ideas.



Will DJs for Lovers make announcements?

Absolutely! Part of our meeting with couples involves discussing announcements and the proper pronunciation of names. It is important for us to know exactly what you expect before the day of the wedding.

What we will not do is promote our business during your reception or party. We also stick to the announcements that are planned and needed. We don’t need to tell your guests to get on the dance floor; the music takes care of that.

How much does your service cost?

We are not the most expensive DJs in town or the cheapest. We do believe our prices are fair and that you will be incredibly happy with our skill, professionalism and value. Our pricing is based on the duration of your event, equipment needed and location.
