Song of the Day: Didn't I (RIP Darondo)

Didn't I has been a staple of my sweet soul wedding dinner and cocktail hour sets for quite a while. Though Darondo spent most of his career in obscurity his work was re-released in 2006 and he began to get the notice he deserved. Read more about his resurgence and passing on the fantastic Soul-Sides blog.

RIP Darondo, and thanks for the music.

Song of the Day: Genesis by Justice

Another French duo for song of the day. Justice much like Daft Punk is designed to be played through PA speakers. Car radios and iPods fail to capture the chest rattling sound.

Alex was wonderful. He was very professional and organized when we first met with him. I was able to provide him with a list of songs we wanted to hear as well as different genres we like. The music was wonderful! The dance floor was always full and we had numerous compliments on the music.
