Ray LaMontagne's "You are the Best Thing" has been a popular wedding request for the last several years. I think "Airwaves" is a real highlight of his newest album Supernova. While "Airwaves" doesn't have the driving energy of "You are the Best Thing", it still makes for a great dinner/cocktail hour song.

Song of the Day: Everybody Needs Somebody to Love - Solomon Burke
This song has been covered by everyone from Wilson Pickett and the Rolling Stones to the 13th Floor Elevators. It was a hit for the Blues Brothers in 1980. But the Solomon Burke original is still my favorite version.
Song of the Day: Whole Wide World - Wreckless Eric
This is really the perfect punk love song. I can overstate how much I enjoy this song. Great slow build to crescendo of tambourine, echoed hand claps and riffs. Apparently Nick Lowe played on this which explains a lot, but the raspy vocals and "yeahs" supplied by Wreckless Eric are perfect. Enjoy!
Song of the Day: Breakbot - Baby I'm Yours
Amazing Nu-Disco from Breakbot. I love how the beat drops in and continues to build through the song.
Song of the Day: Wildflowers - Tom Petty
Tom Petty has an immense catalog with numerous songs that work great at weddings for dancing, dinner or cocktail hour. Wildflowers is a classic.
